Caribou camp

Caribou Boys Camp is a five day, overnight summer camp for boys aged 9 to 15 dedicated to developing faith, character, and leadership. Through sports, outdoor skills, and team activities, campers build lasting friendships while learning the virtues needed to grow into strong young men.

THE PROGRAM

Each boy is placed on a team with about 5 other campers with whom he shares a cabin, attends activities, and competes in games. Each team is accompanied by one senior, and one junior counsellor. Every morning, campers attend a hands on class (in 2026, it was catapult building), then a doctrine class given by Fr. Eric Nicolai. In the afternoons, boys compete in football, soccer, ultimate frisbee, and wiffle ball followed by a refreshing swim.  Each evening features a camp-wide activity ranging from capture the flag, to large soccer game, to the skit show on the last night.  Other activities including canoeing and a hike are offered throughout the camp.  Spiritual activities, such as daily Mass, praying the Rosary, and confession, are offered.

Throughout the week, the counsellors and staff help the boys to apply principles of leadership and lessons from the virtue talks to concrete situations during the camp. Most importantly, the staff speak individually with each camper to help him grow in self-knowledge and to formulate resolutions for growing in character after the camp.

Dates

Caribou Camp this year runs from August 23 - 28, 2026.

Campers should arrive on Sunday August 23 between 3:00 and 4:30 PM.

On Friday August 28, the boys can be picked up at 1:00 PM, after the award ceremony.
